How to Remove Front and Rear Bumper Toyota Camry XV20 (1996-2002)


-open the hood and unscrew the three screws (screwed from top to bottom) that secure the bumper and radiator grille to the upper bar.
-pull out the pins that secure the lower part (inserted from bottom to top).
-turn the wheels to the left or right side, depending on which side we will disassemble first.
-unscrew the screws in the wheel arches that secure the fender liners.
-move the fender liners to the side and unscrew one screw on each side (screwed from bottom to top) that secure the corners to the fenders.
-remove the turn signals (fastened with latches).
-release the clamps under the turn signals.

-with an assistant, we break the latches in the fenders and pull the bumper off the guides towards ourselves.
-remove the connector from the parking sensors (if any).
-remove the connector from the fog lights (if any).

Rear bumper





Depending on the year of manufacture and type of model, the mounting locations differ.
- open the trunk lid and unscrew four screws in the opening (screwed from the bottom up).
- unscrew one screw on each side near the taillights in the opening.
- remove the side trim in the trunk (you need to get access to the back of the taillights).
- unscrew three nuts on each side in the fenders (you will need a ratchet head).
- unscrew the screws in the wheel arches that secure the fender liners (if any).

- move the fender liners to the side and pull out one pin on each side that secure the corners to the fenders (they may not be there).
- pull out the pins along the perimeter in the lower part (inserted from the bottom up).
- with an assistant, pull it off the guides towards you.
- if there is a parking sensor, remove the connector.
