How to remove the front and rear bumper of Subaru Legacy (Outback) (1998-2003) BE, BH

-turn the wheels depending on which side we will disassemble.
-in the wheel arches we release the fender liners.
-Unscrew one screw on each side (twisted from bottom to top) that secure the corners of the bumper to the wings.

-take out the pistons and unscrew the screws (twisted and inserted from bottom to top) along the perimeter of the lower part.
-under the hood, between the headlights, take out the five pistons.

-with an assistant, carefully pull the bumper forward.
-remove the connectors from the fog lights (if any).

Rear bumper

-open the trunk lid (rear door).
- in the trunk, remove the rear trim.

Sedan:

-Unscrew the nuts that secure the bumper amplifier to the rear panel.

Universal:

-take out the plugs in the trunk and unscrew the four bolts under them (screwed from top to bottom).

- along the perimeter of the lower part we take out the caps (inserted from bottom to top).
-in the wheel arches we release the fender liners.
-Unscrew one screw on each side (twisted from bottom to top) that secure the corners of the bumper to the wings.

- with an assistant, carefully pull the bumper back.
- disconnect the connectors of the electrical equipment (if any).
