How to remove the front and rear bumper of a VW T5 Transporter, Caravelle, Multivan


-under the hood, unscrew the two screws and remove the battery cover.
-Unscrew the two screws and remove the cover above the right headlight.
-Unscrew the screws on top and remove the radiator grille.
-Unscrew the screws that secure the upper part of the bumper to the radiator frame.
-under the headlights, remove the covers (held on by latches).
-under the covers, Unscrew two screws on each side.

-we unscrew the wheels to the left or right, depending on which side you will disassemble.
-in the wheel arches, Unscrew the screws that secure the fender liners to the bumper.
-move the fender liners to the side and unscrew one screw on each side that secures the bumper to the wings (twisted from bottom to top) and one screw on each side. Which secure the brackets.
-also behind the fender liners, unscrew two nuts on each side that secure the bumper to the wings (you will need a head with an extension).
-Unscrew the screws at the bottom (twisted from bottom to top).

-with an assistant, pull the bumper forward in the direction of travel.
-remove the connectors from the fog lights (if any).
-if there are headlight washers, disconnect the hose and plug it with a plug so that liquid does not leak out of the reservoir.
-remove the connector from the parking sensors (if equipped).

Rear bumper





-remove the rear lights
-under the rear lights, pull out two pistons on each side and pull up the side trims.
-under the linings, pull out four pistons on each side and remove the holders upwards.
-under the holders we take out two pistons on each side.
-in the wheel arches, Unscrew the screws that secure the fender liners to the bumper.
-move the fender liners to the side and Unscrew one screw on each side.
-we pull out the caps along the entire length at the bottom of the bumper (inserted from bottom to top).
-with an assistant, pull the bumper off the guides towards you.
-remove the connector from the parking sensors (if equipped).
