How to remove front and rear bumper VW Bora


-unscrew the wheels to the left or right, depending on which side you will disassemble.
-in the wheel arches, unscrew the screws that secure the fender liners to the bumper.
-unscrew the screws that secure the bumper to the fenders (screwed from the bottom up).
-open the hood and pull the radiator grille off the latches.
-if the grille needs to be removed completely, remove the hood release lever. Fold the retainer up and use a flat screwdriver to spread the ears that secure the lever to the lock.
-under the radiator grille, unscrew the screws in front of the radiator and one by one near the headlights.

-at the edges (fog light locations) remove the decorative grilles (held on by latches) and unscrew the screws underneath them.
-pull the bumper forward in the direction of travel from the guides (you need to do this with an assistant so as not to scratch the paint on the fenders).
-now you can disconnect the connectors from the fog lights (if any).
-remove the connector from the parking sensors (if any).
-if there are headlight washers, disconnect the hoses from the nozzles and close them with plugs so that liquid does not leak out of the tank.

Rear bumper





-in the wheel arches, unscrew the screws that secure the fender liners to the bumper (in order not to remove the wheels, you can use a ratchet with a nozzle).
-unscrew the screws (screwed from bottom to top) along the perimeter at the bottom of the bumper.
-now you need to get access to the inside of the taillights. In the trunk, remove the side trim, unscrew the fastening nuts and remove the taillights.
-unscrew the screws under the taillights.
- pull it back from the guides (you need to do this with an assistant so as not to scratch the paint on the wings). - remove the connector from the parking sensor (if there is one).
