How to remove front and rear bumper VW T4 Transporter, Caravelle, Multivan

- remove the license plate and frame.
- pull out the plugs under the frame and unscrew the two bolts.
- after 96 there may be screws in the area of ​​the wheel arches.

- with an assistant, pull the bumper off the guides forward, in the direction of travel.
- remove the connectors from the fog lights (if any).

Rear bumper

Depending on the year of manufacture and model variant, the mounting locations differ.
-we take out the plugs under the trunk lid and unscrew the bolts.
-we unscrew the two bolts at the bottom (screwed from the bottom up).
Since 1995:
-we unscrew the screws at the edges at the bottom of the bumper (screwed from the bottom up).
-we unscrew the screws in the wheel arches in the upper corners.

-unscrew two bolts on each side that secure the bumper reinforcement to the side members.
-with an assistant, pull the bumper off the guides together with the reinforcement towards you.
-remove the connector from the parking sensor (if any).
