How to Remove Front and Rear Bumper Toyota RAV4 (After 2012)


-under the hood, pull out the pins and remove the trim.
-under the trim, unscrew the screws and pull out the pins that secure the radiator grille and the upper part of the bumper to the upper bar.
-along the perimeter of the lower part, unscrew the screws (screwed from the bottom up).
-turn the wheels to the left or right side, depending on which side we will disassemble first.

-in the wheel arches, pull out the clips and unscrew the screws that secure the fender liners to the bumper.
-with an assistant, release the corners from the latches in the fenders and under the headlights, remove the bumper from the guides towards you.
-remove the connector from the fog lights (if any).
-remove the connector from the parking sensors (if any).
-if there are headlight washers, disconnect the hoses (to prevent the liquid from leaking onto the ground, you should prepare a special container).

Rear bumper





-open the trunk lid and pull out the plugs in the opening in the corners.
-unscrew the screws under the plugs.
-unscrew the screws in the wheel arches and pull out the pins that secure the mudguards (in order not to remove the wheels, it is more convenient to unscrew with a ratchet with a nozzle).
-unscrew the screws along the perimeter in the lower part and pull out the pins (screwed and inserted from the bottom up).

-with an assistant, release the bumper from the latches in the fenders and remove it towards you.
-remove the connector from the parking sensor (if any).
-remove the connectors from the additional equipment (if any).
