How to remove the front and rear bumper SEAT Leon I (1999-2005)


Depending on the year of manufacture and model variant, the mounting locations may differ.
-Unscrew five screws under the hood (screwed from top to bottom).
-Depending on the model: tear off the side moldings (you need to pry them off with a screwdriver and remove them from the latches) or pull out the plugs and unscrew one screw on each side (in some models these screws may not be there).
-Remove the decorative grilles (cover the fog lights) and unscrew one screw on each side.

-turn the wheels to the left or right side, depending on which side we will disassemble first.
-unscrew the screws in the wheel arches that secure the fender liners.
-move the fender liners to the side and unscrew one screw on each side in the corners.
-unscrew the screws around the perimeter at the bottom of the bumper (screwed from the bottom up).
-with an assistant, tear the corners off the latches and pull the bumper off the guides towards you.

- remove the connector from the parking sensors (if any).

- if there are headlight washers, disconnect the hoses. To prevent liquid from leaking onto the ground, you need to prepare a suitable container.

Rear bumper





Depending on the year of manufacture and model variant, the mounting locations may differ.
-unscrew the screws in the wheel arches that secure the mudguards (in order not to remove the wheels, it is more convenient to unscrew with a ratchet with a nozzle).
-move the mudguards to the side and unscrew one screw on each side (screwed from the bottom up).

-in the trunk, unscrew two screws and remove the rear trim and move the side ones.
-unscrew four screws under the trim.
-unscrew the screws along the perimeter at the bottom (screwed from the bottom up).

-with an assistant, we tear off the corners from the latches and pull the bumper off the guides towards ourselves.
-remove the connector from the license plate light.
-remove the connector from the parking sensors (if any).
