How to remove the front and rear bumper of a Peugeot 407


-open the hood.
-under the hood, Unscrew the two screws and take out the three pistons that secure the upper part.
-Unscrew the screws along the perimeter of the lower part.
-remove the license plate.

-under the license plate, unscrew the screw (it may not be there).
-depending on which side we will disassemble, turn the wheels out.
-in the wheel arches we unscrew the screws, take out the caps and release the fender liners (you don’t have to remove them completely).
-through the wheel arches, in the wings, you need to turn the clamps 90 degrees. To do this, you need a special tool, which you can make yourself from steel wire (see image).
-release the latches in the wings (pull the corners toward you).
-pull the bumper forward (make sure not to tear the wires and hoses).
-remove the connectors from the fog lights (if any).
-(if any) disconnect the washer hoses (liquid may leak).


Rear bumper





-open the trunk lid.
-(if any) in the trunk opening, unscrew the screws.
-remove the rear lights.
-under the rear lights, Unscrew one nut on each side.
-in the trunk, remove the hatches in the side trims (you need to gain access to the inside of the wings).
-through the openings of the hatches, Unscrew the screws in the wings.

-in the wheel arches, unscrew the screws and release the fender liners (you don’t have to completely remove them).

-behind the fender liners, Unscrew one screw on each side that secures the corners of the bumper to the wings.

-from the bottom side, unscrew the nut.
-with an assistant, carefully (making sure not to break the wires) pull the bumper back.
-remove the connectors from the electrical equipment (if any).
