How to remove the front and rear bumper of a Chevrolet Tracker/Trax (after 2013)


Depending on the year of manufacture and model, the attachment points may differ.
The attachment points of the front and rear bumpers on the Chevrolet Trax are almost identical to the Buick Encore and Opel Mokka.



-open the hood.
-under the hood take out eight caps and remove the trim.
-under the trim, Unscrew the screws that secure the top.
-on the perimeter of the lower part, Unscrew the screws and take out the caps (twisted and inserted from the bottom up).
-turn the wheels to the left or right side, depending on which side we will disassemble first.
-we release from the latches lining of the wings.

-in the wheel wells, Unscrew the screws and release the fender liner.
-take the fender liner to the side and Unscrew one screw on each side that attach the corners of the bumper to the wings (if any).
-release the latches in the wings (gently pull the corners towards you) and under the headlights.

-pulls the bumper forward (be careful not to break the wires).
-remove connectors from electrical equipment (if any).

Rear bumper




-Open the trunk lid.
-take out the caps and Unscrew the screws (twisted and inserted from the bottom up) that secure the lower part.
-we release from the latches lining of the wings.
-in the wheel arches, Unscrew the screws that attach the fender liner to the bumper and the corners of the bumper to the wings.
-release the latches in the wings (gently pull the corners towards you).

-we release the latches under the rear lights and in the opening of the trunk.
-remove the bumper back (be careful not to break the wires).
-remove connectors from electrical equipment (if any).
