How to Remove Front and Rear Bumper Pontiac Grand Am (1999-2005)

Front bumper
- open the hood.
- under the hood, pull out four pistons (inserted from top to bottom), which secure the upper part.
- turn the wheels to the side.
- in the wheel arches, unscrew the screws that secure the fender liners (front part).

- move the fender liners to the side and unscrew the screws (screwed from bottom to top), which secure the corners of the bumper to the fenders.
- from the bottom side, we pull out the pins that secure the lower part.
- with an assistant, pull the bumper forward.
- remove the connector from the fog lights (if any).

Rear bumper

- open the trunk lid.
- unscrew the nuts from the trunk and remove the taillights.
- pull out the pins that secure the upper part.

-we pull out the pins from the bottom side (inserted from the bottom up).
-in the wheel arches we unscrew the screws that secure the fender liners.

-we unscrew the screws that secure the bumper corners to the fenders.
-with an assistant we pull the bumper back.
-we remove the connectors from the electrical equipment.
