Depending on the year of manufacture, the mounting locations may differ slightly.
According to the instructions, the bumpers must be removed together with the fenders, but it is not always possible to unscrew the fenders from the body. Below we will describe how to remove the bumpers without the fenders. The problem will only be in the screws that connect the bumpers to the fenders. It is very difficult to unscrew these screws, but possible.
Front bumper
- open the hood.
- under the hood, unscrew the four screws that secure the top of the bumper.
- remove the headlights (to remove the headlight, you need to turn the lever 180 degrees and press the lock).
-through the headlight openings, unscrew two screws on each side that secure the bumper to the fenders.
- from the bottom side, unscrew the screws (screwed from the bottom up), which secure the lower part of the bumper and the fender linings.
-turn the wheels to the side.
-unscrew the screws in the wheel arches and release the fender liners (front part).
-move the fender liners to the side and unscrew the screws that secure the bumper corners to the fenders.
-with an assistant, carefully pull the bumper forward (look for the wires).
-disconnect the electrical equipment connectors (if any).
Rear bumper
-open the trunk lid.
- in the trunk opening, unscrew the six screws that secure the bumper and four that secure the fenders.
- in the side trims of the trunk, open the plugs, unscrew the plastic nuts behind them and pull out the taillights.
- through the openings of the taillights, unscrew two screws on each side that secure the bumper to the fenders.
- from the bottom side, unscrew the screws and nuts (screwed from the bottom up) that secure the bottom of the bumper.
- in the wheel arches, unscrew the screws and release the fender liners (rear part).
- behind the fender liners, unscrew the screws (screwed from the bottom up) that secure the corners of the bumper through the clamping strips to the fenders.
-with an assistant, pull the bumper back (watch the wires).
-disconnect the electrical equipment connectors.
