To determine the chip installed in the USB ELM327 adapter:
We go to the "Device Manager", we find the device with an exclamation mark in the "USB Controllers" or "Ports (COM and LPT)" section.
Right-click on the device with an exclamation mark in the menu, select "Properties". In the window that opens, the "Details" tab, we look at the property: "Hardware ID".
