How to remove the front and rear bumper of a VW Golf 2 (Jetta 2)

To remove the front bumper, you need to “hang the engine” using a jack; to do this, place a wooden block between the engine and the jack and lift it so that the weight of the engine falls on the jack.
-from under the car, unscrew two bolts on each side (you only need to unscrew those bolts indicated by the arrows)
-pull the bumper off the guides towards you.

Rear bumper

-from under the car, unscrew two bolts on each side (twisted from bottom to top).
-pull the bumper back from the guides.
-bumper removed.
