For Toyota cars (Avensis (2009-2011), Camry (2009-2011), Highlander (2010-2013), Land Cruiser 200 (07.2009-01.2012) (models with Crawl Control and JBL inscription on GU), Land Cruiser Prado 150 ( 2009-2013), Prius (2009-2011), RAV4 (2010-2013), Verso (2009-2012)) and Lexus (CT200H, GS-430/300 / 450H, GX-460, IS-250 / 220D / 300 / 200, LS-430/460 / 600H, RX-300/350 / 400H / 450H)) for the European market.

Add. Information: designed to create an HDD for navigation systems, by deploying the image to a new HDD IDE or to a standard disk (the standard one will have to be unlocked before that). Either you don’t want (yet) to do anything with your regular HDD and found a used HDD IDE 2.5 ".

Attention! This method of updating the navigation system is not standard. Removal and installation of a hard disk must be done by qualified personnel.

If the disc is new (not removed from the Car Head Unit), then:
Mount the image to your HDD. I used the WinHex program, in it select "Tool" -> "Disc Tool" -> "Clone disc". Next, in the window that appears, clicking on the icon with a white sheet, select the downloaded image, below clicking on the icon with the disk, select the connected HDD (new hard disk), put 0 on the right in the "Start sector" window, click OK (recording process 0.5-1h). As a result, you will have an HDD with cards. The computer will see it as four logical drives.

If the disk is removed from the Head Unit of the car (which means it is corrupted), then you must first remove the password from the HDD:

(The method below is relevant only for Toyota vehicles intended for operation in Russia and Europe (GEN6 08HDD AISIN). This manual will not work for vehicles with a different regional affiliation.)

1. What to buy (find, rent, etc.):
- Adapter IDE 2.5 ">> IDE 3.5" or IDE 2.5 ">> SATA for connecting to a computer
Connects to HDD ribbon cable, or instead of CD / DVD drive.

Download the HDAT2 program, run it in DOS, select your drive, and find the Unlock device item in the Security Menu.
Press F, then P - the cursor will appear in the input field.
Use the ← and → keys to move the cursor in an empty input field to the third character.
Press the Delete key 11 times in a row, "freeing up space" for entering password characters.
Enter the password (IVANWANISIA) in capital letters and press Enter.
Press S, confirm Y - at the bottom of the screen a green inscription should appear that the password has been successfully removed.
