How to remove front and rear bumper BMW 3-series E36


The bumper can be removed in two ways.

First:
the attachment points of the front bumper of the BMW 3-series E36-under the hood, unscrew and remove the direction indicators and headlights.
-in the openings from the headlights, Unscrew the bolts that secure the bumper amplifier to the body.
Second (the bumper will be removed without an amplifier):
-prying with a screwdriver, we click out the moldings from the bumper.
-under the moldings, Unscrew the bumper bolts.


Next for both ways:

-unscrew the wheels left or right, depending on which side you will unscrew the front bumper of the BMW 3-series E36 first and remove the fender liner.
-pulls the bumper from the side rails, it is better to do this with an assistant).
-remove the connectors from the fog lights (if any).
-if there are headlight washers, remove the hoses from the nozzles.
- bumper removed.

Rear bumper




attachment points for the rear bumper of the BMW 3-series E36-in the wheel arches, unscrew the screws and take out the caps (in order not to remove the wheels, you can use a ratchet with a nozzle for a curly screwdriver).
Further, you can also remove it in two ways:

First:
-inside the trunk, take out the mat and plastic cover.
-on the sides, Unscrew the four nuts of the bumper shock absorber.

Second:

-at the bottom, Unscrew the screws and remove the trim from the latches.
-under the trim, Unscrew the two bolts under the inner sprocket (spun up).

Next for both ways:
-pull off the bumper from the side rails (better to do this with an assistant, so as not to scratch the paint on the wings).
