"SETUP" - "Settings" - "Software version", or press SETUP + RETURN at the same time.

If the version is higher than K0031 and lower than K0206, then immediately update to K0206.
After K0206, we update to K0257 (K0257 is the most "running" and proven firmware with which everything works fine).
And so we found out the firmware version (let's say we have a firmware version below K0031, for example P0022.) We take disks with firmware K0031 / K0206 / K0257, burn the ISO image to a CD, or using, for example, UltraISO, unzip the ISO image to an SD card.

Let's start updating the firmware. We insert the disk / SD into our MMI.
1. Hold SETUP+RETURN

So, we have updated the firmware, now let's start updating the maps:
When you unpack the downloaded archive, there will be two ISO images (these are files prepared for burning to DVD - it is the ISO image that needs to be burned to disk). Next, you need to decide what we will record on, on an SD card or DVD disc:
1) If you chose SD, then using UltraISO, pull out the files from the image and throw them into the root of the memory card (for 1 SD card - only 1 version of the cards).
2) If you have chosen DVD, then we burn the image (I recommend using the ImgBurn program for recording) to a DVD + R DL 8.50 GB disc - I can add on my own, it’s better to burn maps to a DVD disc, since you will have two free SD slots to the music.
After recording, we insert a disk with cards into our drive or an SD card into any of the two slots. We click on the navigation button and when she sees the latest version of the maps, she will ask to update them, which we do.
The cards will work for about 5 minutes and will be blocked, since an activator is needed to activate them.
To do this, put the contents of the "Activation Audi MMI 3G Basic Nav 2017" folder in the root of the SD card. Next, insert the SD card with the activator. We press SETUP + RETURN, press Update, select the SD card and activate our cards (the procedure is approximately similar to updating the firmware - the sequence is the same). The assembly also has a disk with language data (after installing it, Navi speaks Russian) - we burn it on a simple CD, insert it into the drive and update the voice data package.
