How to Remove Front and Rear Bumper Pontiac Grand Prix (1996-2003)

Front bumper
- open the hood.
- under the hood we pull out two pistons and unscrew one screw that secures the upper part.
- turn the wheels to the side.
- in the wheel arches we unscrew the screws that secure the fender liners (front part).
- move the fender liners to the side and unscrew the screws (screwed from the bottom up) that secure the corners of the bumper to the fenders.
- from the bottom side, we pull out the pins and unscrew the screws that secure the lower part.
- with an assistant, pull the bumper forward from the guides in the wings (look at the wires).
- remove the connector from the fog lights (if any).
Rear bumper
- open the trunk lid.
- in the trunk opening, we pull out four pins that secure the upper part.
- from the trunk, behind the side trim, we unscrew one nut on each side.
- pull out the pins and unscrew the screws from the bottom side (inserted and screwed from the bottom up).
- unscrew the screws in the wheel arches that secure the mudguards.
- unscrew one screw on each side behind the mudguards that secure the corners of the bumper to the fenders.
- pull the bumper back with an assistant (watch the wires).
- remove the connectors from the electrical equipment.
