How to remove front and rear bumper VW Passat B6

-Under the hood, unscrew the six screws that secure the radiator grille.
-Unscrew the wheels to the left or right, depending on which side you will disassemble.
-In the wheel arches, unscrew the screws that secure the fender liners to the bumper.
-Move the fender liners to the side and unscrew the screws that secure the bumper to the fenders (screwed from the bottom up).
-Now the hardest part, you need to unscrew two nuts on each side that secure the bumper to the
fenders in the headlight area. You will need a 10 mm head with an extension (about 30 cm) and a ratchet. Move the fender liner to the side and unscrew the nuts. In some models, depending on the engine, there may be a washer reservoir or carbon filter under the fender, which complicate access to the nuts.

- at the very bottom of the bumper along the entire length, unscrew the screws securing the engine protection and fender liners.
- pull the bumper off the guides to the front (it is better to do this with an assistant so as not to scratch the paint on the fenders).
- now you can disconnect the connectors from the fog lights and (if any).
- remove the connector from the parking sensors (if any).
- if there are headlight washers, disconnect the hoses from the nozzles and close them with plugs so that liquid does not leak out of the tank.

-behind the mudguards, in the corners of the bumper, take out one plastic clip on each side.
-in the trunk, remove the side trim (you need to get access to the taillights), unscrew the nuts and remove the taillights.
-under the taillights, unscrew two screws on each side (screwed from top to bottom).

-unscrew the screws around the perimeter at the bottom of the bumper (screwed from bottom to top).
-pull the bumper back from the guides (it is better to do this with an assistant so as not to scratch the paint on the fenders).
