How to remove the front and rear bumper of a VW Crafter


-open the hood and unscrew the screws (twisted from top to bottom) of the radiator grille.
After 2011:
-at the bottom of the lining, take out the four pistons (inserted from bottom to top).
-now you need to insert a thin screwdriver between the wing and the grille trim and unlock the latch.
-take out the radiator grille trim from the fastenings.
-under the trim, unscrew two screws on each side and remove the radiator grille (pull up).

-unscrew three screws on each side and remove the headlight covers (until 2011).
-we unscrew the wheels to the left or right, depending on which side you will disassemble.
-in the wheel arches we take out the pistons that secure the bumper to the fender liners and wings.
-unscrew the two screws in the grille (twisted from top to bottom) and two screws under the license plate.
-take out one piston under the headlights and two, on the contrary, at the bottom of the bumper.

-pull the bumper forward in the direction of travel from the guides (you need to do this with an assistant so as not to scratch the paint on the wings).
-now you can disconnect the connectors from the fog lights (if any).
-remove the connector from the parking sensors (if equipped).

Rear bumper





-remove the side moldings on the rear wings and pillars (attached with latches).
-under the moldings we take out the caps.
-open the back door and Unscrew the seven screws.

-take out the pistons from the footrest (inserted from top to bottom).
-with an assistant, pull the bumper along with the corners from the guides towards you.
-remove the connector from the parking sensors (if equipped).
