Ru&Eu versions are intended for use in regions with moderate climates and high-quality fuel with an octane rating (RON) of at least 95. Me&UA versions are intended for use in regions with hot climates and lower-quality fuel with an RON of 92-95.

For larger engines (4.2FSI, 5.2FSI, 5.0TFSI), all versions are available in only one version – the MOD. Experience has shown that these engines are very sensitive to fuel quality, so ignition timing and adjustments are minimally affected.

Please note: VAG itself recommends fuel with an octane rating of at least 95 for most engines on the list, and in some cases, 98. Using low-quality fuel in TFSI engines can lead to rapid failure, with a very high probability, even with stock fuel! Be careful!.
